Hug Me!

I hate talking toys.

Especially when it's 11:45 p.m., Vivian's asleep, Richard's out of town, I'm washing dishes in a quiet house and, all of a sudden, I hear sneaky laughter, and then a cheerful voice calling from the living room, "Hug Me!"

Talking toys creep me out.

That would scare the crap out of me. Any toy that did that in my house would immediately be executed by firing squad.

Hahahahahaha! Thanks for making me laugh today!
Sounds kinda' like an old "Twilight Zone" episode!

Ours does that, too! I swear that thing is possessed.

We used to be woken up by Elmo's manical laugh--terrifying in the middle of the night. It would make me sit straight up in bed with my heart pounding. My son slept right through it, though.

I know exactly what you mean. I was doing homehealth as a nurse for a child who had this same toy. Being Autistic this child would activate dif parts of this dog. She like to sleep with it too. I leave the room, it is dark, I come back and sit down, everything is quiet and I am relaxed, the kid is sleeping. I am deep into my knitting. I hear this sound out of nowhere, I jumped out of my skin. It was as though a Steven King freaky character was present in the room. I am all alone in the home.I went around the house and turned all the lights at my end of it.
ooooooooooooooI am relieving that eery shivering time.
